How the Robot Directory Works

How the robot directory is built: products listed A–Z by brand with list prices and the specs makers publish. Unscored, with no order of merit.

The robot directory is a comparison, not a verdict. It lists humanoids, robot arms, quadrupeds and dexterous hands from the Robotics Center catalog so you can read their published specs in one place.

What is listed

Every product in the store category that is sold as a complete unit. Grippers, gloves, cables and other accessories are left out of the arm and hand lists. The lists update with the catalog.

Order

Rows are in alphabetical order by brand, then by product name. The position of a row says nothing about quality, popularity or how much we like a product.

What each column shows

  • Price: the list price in the Robotics Center store, or "Request a Quote" where there is no public price.
  • Specs: the values from the product's own listing, which come from the maker's published spec sheet. Different makers name the same quantity differently ("payload", "nominal payload", "payload capacity"); we fold those into one column and do not convert, estimate or adjust the numbers. A blank cell means the maker does not publish that figure.

What we do not do

The directory is unscored. Robots and their makers get no grade and no place in an order of merit, and there is no overall verdict. Specs on paper are not the whole story: payload, battery life and repeatability depend on how a robot is set up and used. If you want to see a robot working on your task, contact us to arrange a demo.

Corrections

If a price or spec is wrong, tell us and include a link to the maker's published source.
