OAKChina OAK-1 Camera
The OAK-1 integrates a 12-megapixel camera module that communicates directly with the edge AI processor through an onboard 2.1 Gbps MIPI interface. The edge AI processor receives the image data and performs neural inference tasks such as object detection, image classification, and object localization, then returns the results to the host computer via USB. Image processing is performed on the edge AI processor rather than on the host. Multiple OAK-1 devices can therefore be used simultaneously on a lower-performance host, provided that sufficient USB ports are available, without placing a significant load on the host CPU.
