Students & builders

This is not a separate curriculum. It is the same Academy, filtered for builders who want visible wins, portfolio-worthy artifacts, and a path from first motion into serious system work.

Simulation and software practice for robotics

Each chapter has Learn → Practice → Challenge, self-check questions, and learning outcomes you can paste into a portfolio. Post clips, diagrams, repos, and blockers on the Forum so the path becomes public evidence of your work.

Focus on

Hardware intuition first, then logging and software discipline, then integration. The goal is not to touch every page quickly. The goal is to build a credible stack one milestone at a time.

Do not rush

Do not jump to full-size humanoids before you can explain system timing, logs, and failure modes. Use the roadmap when you want the long-horizon version of this same path.

Recommended module order

  1. Foundations: SO-101 — Joint space, logging, first teleop.
  2. Data-centric arm: OpenArm — CAN, calibration, episodes.
  3. Wearables: Teleop gloves — Map your hand to the robot.
  4. Human-scale: Unitree G1 — Compact humanoid context.
  5. Stretch: Unitree H1 — Full-size dynamics (read carefully).
Share milestones on the SVRC Forum — tag modules (e.g. OpenArm, SO-101).

Use this page as a filtered view: the curriculum hub is still the source of truth, while this page tells you which order tends to work best for builders and student teams.
